ABOUT ME
"I would rather walk alone than walk
with a group going the wrong direction."
Vice Mayor OD Harris is a U.S. Army veteran, entrepreneur, and best-selling author serving Chandler, Arizona, with one clear standard: Smart. People-First. Voter-Approved. He holds an MBA from Walden University (Honors, 3.57 GPA).
He brings executive leadership across nonprofit, for-profit, and government sectors as a multi-business owner with a foundation in tax and accounting, media, and marketing.
OD’s commitment to service is generational and personal. His great-grandfather served in World War II and later died from tuberculosis. His late father served in the Vietnam era. OD proudly continued that legacy through his own U.S. Army service, carrying forward a family tradition rooted in sacrifice, resilience, and duty.
OD is also a strong advocate for mental health and community wellness. He is the author of Quantum Leap Theory of Leadership and Mindful Mantras for Leaders, and he leads Chandler’s first Well-Being Walk to uplift residents and strengthen a healthier, more resilient community.
OD brings his successful business discipline, strategy, accountability, and measurable results—into public service. Elected in 2021 and appointed Vice Mayor in 2024, he also served as Chairman of Valley Metro (2024–2025) and on the National League of Cities Transportation & Infrastructure Committee.
Outside of City Hall, OD is available in his personal capacity for consulting, speaking, paid board service, individual to corporate tax consulting, and strategic business growth sessions.
